Good pots and a good camera

An amateur photographer was invited to dinner with friends and took along a few pictures to show the hostess. She looked at the photos and commented, “These are very good! You must have a good camera.”

He didn’t make any comment, but, as he was leaving to go home he said, “That was a really delicious meal! You must have some very good pots.”

  1. I think your amateur photographer must know my family…

  2. Well said 🙂

Although a better camera takes a better picture, it is up to the photographer to get everything right in it

  3. Truly, the better the equipment, the better the outcome. People of faith are equiped with the Holy Spirit (and He should get all the credit).

  4. This makes my day! What a great perspective on the art and mystery of capturing that truly great shot…

  5. I once I once belonged to a little amateur camera club. Each month, a topic was suggested, photos submitted and displayed for appreciation and perhaps, discussion.

Like many other rank beginners, I long for more and better equipment. But I always remember the month when by far the best submission was from one of our bicycling members, who took the photo on one of the early cell phone cameras.
Good tools help. But it is the photographer who takes the picture. And God who creates the scene.

    Thank you!

    Assumptions Assumptions Assumptions! 😀

  10. Of course the cook may not even remember her comment about the camera by
then. And, it’s a comment that photographers hear often. Or they are asked, “Gee, that’s a great picture. What kind of camera did you use?”
